We all need professional development and CE's. This weekend is about a lot more than that, of course, but it doesn't hurt to be able to check two things off at once. We're bringing together some of the most influential and talented people to tackle the pressing issues facing hygienists (and the ones taking the biggest tolls on our personal lives). You'll have a chance to interact with the experts and participate in live Q&A's, and learn tools, methods and exercises for upgrading your life both in and out of the op. I am so excited to bring all of these amazing people together under one "digital roof." You're gonna love this!
This can be so much more than simply a weekend where you get CE's. Of course, if that's what you're after, we are so happy to have you. But if you are looking for something more, then this is definitely the place for you. I want to bring the retreat-style experience right into your home. Get comfortable. Create a restful, peaceful and nurturing place without ever having to leave your front door. I've curated the entire weekend to support your wellness and your long-term health. You can follow along with us the entire time, or put your own spin on the weekend... as long as you embrace this as YOUR TIME.
We are nothing without our community... especially one in which we share so many struggles and pressures. We aren't here just to log on, listen to a speaker and then log off. We have the opportunity to connect and interact with people who are facing what we are. Admission gets you access to my exclusive community app where you can post questions, respond to others and even chat one-on-one. There is so much wisdom in sharing with those around us. We will come out of this stronger than ever. Let's do this...together.
Worn Out but Not Broken - RDH Burnout
Course Title: Worn Out but Not Broken: Unmasking Burnout in Dental Hygiene and the Path Back to Wellness
CE hours: 2
Instructor: Heather DeJonge
Course Description:
Burnout has become quite a buzzword post-pandemic and as we see dentistry struggle with the shortage of hygienists, it’s become a recognized component of why so many hygienists have stepped away from the industry. This course provides an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of burnout in and outside of the operatory, how to identify key indicators of the burnout epidemic, and how to prevent falling victim to burnout. The course will also explore why hygienists are so prone to burnout, as well as provide tangible recovery tools and strategies so they can begin to reclaim their enthusiasm for both their personal life as well as return to a fulfilling career in the operatory.
Objectives:
Gain an understanding of burnout’s diverse definitions, how it relates to stress management, and how to identify its key signs, symptoms and repercussions.
Learn about how the hidden existing infrastructures of society and dentistry contribute to burnout and who is most at risk.
Discuss the obstacles and reasons why hygienists are specifically prone to falling victim to burnout.
Identify key factors needed for burnout prevention in and outside the op.
Learn a variety of sustainable burnout recovery tools, strategies and practices that can be implemented immediately
Stressed Out - RDH Stress Management
Course Title: Burned Out Starts with Stressed Out
CE hours: 2
Instructor: Heather DeJonge
Course Description:
As dental hygienists, stress isn’t a stranger. We’re constantly on the go and thinking about the next 10 things that we have to get done. But really, in reality, stress is a good thing- it tells us when danger is nearby and it keeps us safe and ALIVE. But what happens when we’re stressed 24/7? What happens when stress becomes our default? And how do we progress from stressed out one day to completely burned to a crisp the next? So many hygienists struggle with these dilemmas. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of stress, its physiological and cognitive impacts, tools and strategies to combat and alleviate chronic stress, and provides solutions that mitigate burnout so participants can increase career longevity and personal fulfillment in their professional and personal lives.
Objectives:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the science of stress, the different types and characteristics of stress and their relationship to the nervous system.
Learn about the short and long term impacts of stress on the brain, mind and body.
Discover the link between stress and burnout, as well as why hygienists are so prone to high amounts of stress in dentistry.
Discuss the different approaches, strategies and tools used to decrease stress and re-establish balance and overall well-being.
Understand how to leverage real self-care practices to optimize stress management in and outside of the operatory.
Course Title: How to Strength Train Effectively to Prevent Pain
CE Hours: 1
Instructor: Brianne Novaes
Course Description:
It’s time to upend the misconceptions that are keeping hygienists in pain and barely making it through each day. At the core of the problem: muscle imbalances. No amount of stretching or yoga or massage or chiro is going to truly fix the root of the issue. That is why we are going to be looking at chronic pain as a product of the interactions between tight, overworked muscles and loose, underdeveloped ones. By exploring corrective exercises and uncovering the components of building a balanced body, we will shed some light on why most approaches are failing hygienists and how, with a shift in modalities, hygienists can leave pain behind for good.
Objectives:
How muscle imbalances are developed and why they are the root cause of chronic pain.
What is corrective exercise and how it’s the solution to long-term pain relief.
3 key components of building a balanced body to avoid injury and MSDs.
Course Title: Maximize Your Potential: Ergonomics & Therapeutic Yoga for Pain Relief
CE Hours: 2
Instructor: Caitlin Parsons
Course Description:
This course teaches dental professionals strategies to prevent injury, reduce pain, and optimize their well-being. This course will review common issues that lead to musculoskeletal pain, stress, and burnout among dental professionals and desk workers. You'll learn ergonomic tools and tips and how to incorporate therapeutic yoga and other wellness tools to maximize your health. We’ll review ergonomic instruments and equipment that reduce strain on the body. This course includes different chairside stretches, giving you new tools to use immediately.
Objectives:
Identify musculoskeletal disorders prevalent among dental professionals and desk workers.
Review ergonomic tools to improve physical health for dental clinicians and desk workers.
Explore proven yoga practices, exercises, and wellness tips for dental clinicians and desk workers.
Course Title: When Whispers Turn to Screams: Decoding Your Body's Stress Signals
CE Hours: 1
Instructors: Jenn Evon and Heather DeJonge
Course Description:
Stomach problems aren’t as funny as the social media reels about “Hot Girl Tummy Problems”, and neither are weary, unbalanced nervous systems or auto-immune diseases. Dental hygiene can be a stressful career and over time that stress can dysregulate our body’s physiology, triggering a cascade of physical and cognitive imbalances and issues. If you want to feel your best and be your best whether that’s in the op taking care of patients, or spending time engaging with your favorite hobbies, understanding how to decode the stress signals your body is sending you is essential. In this course, participants will be introduced to the most current research on the relationship between the nervous system, stress, immunity and gut health. Participants will learn about the physiological signs, symptoms and effects of a dysregulated nervous system, and will learn how to implement strategies in maintaining a healthy nervous system and gut, as well as recovery options and solutions to increase career longevity and overall quality and enjoyment of life.
Objectives:
Provide a foundational understanding of the Enteric Nervous System and Gut-Brain Axis.
Understand the most recent research of the relationship between the nervous system, stress, and the Gut-Brain Axis.
Discover the connection between stress, auto-immunity and gut health.
Identify physiological signs of nervous system dysregulation and gut dysbiosis.
Learn preventative nutrition and lifestyle strategies to maintain a healthy nervous system and gut, as well as different restorative strategies and options to increase career longevity and overall quality and enjoyment of life.

MeTreats are entirely VIRTUAL which means you can attend from anywhere. Show up in your PJ's. Watch the entire weekend from the comfort of your couch or your bed, surrounded by all the cozy things that make you feel relaxed and comfy. Or get together with your Hygiene Bestie, load up on your fav snacks or takeout, and slap on some face masks.
Our goal is to make this something that hygienists can really benefit from, not just professionally, but personally too. This weekend is as accessible as we can make it so you can show up as you are, in whatever state you're in. This weekend is all about setting time aside for YOU and your growth.
That's totally fine! We've got an On-Demand package ($108) available so you won't miss what these experts have to share with you. The On-Demand recordings will be available starting February 24 (we need time to get them uploaded) until March 23, 2026.
If you opt for the LIVE weekend ($150), but can't make all the live sessions, you will still have access to all of the recordings so you can catch up on the ones you weren't able to make live. Again, these will be available from February 24 until March 23, 2026.
We will be tracking and taking care of all of that behind the scenes with Dental Hygiene Sparks.
LIVE ATTENDEES: We will be performing attendance checks midway through each CE session. Surveys will be sent out for each session you've attended live. Upon completion of the survey, you will receive your certificate. For any CE's taken On-Demand, please see below.
ON-DEMAND ATTENDEES: Each CE session will be available for you to watch on your own time until March 23, 2026. When you have finished a CE session, there will be a button to click to "Mark as Completed." Once you click this button, you will be sent an email with the CE survey. Upon completion of the survey, your certificate will be emailed to you. *Recorded CE's do NOT count as LIVE credits.
Yes, this specific MeTreat is for hygienists, but this doesn't mean that we're trying to exclude anyone. We believe in focusing on specific problems and since this is being put on by hygienists, we are speaking directly to them.
Yup! Because we are going through a trusted partner (Dental Hygiene Spark), CE credits are accepted in all 50 states. However, it is your responsibility to know what your state's requirements and guidelines are for CE's.
This weekend is designed for you to carve out some "me time" to learn, connect and grow. It's more than just a few webinars and some CE's. We've put together activities, insights and even a couple of special, customized mocktails to make this weekend special. We've got the entire weekend covered and you are free to participate as you like.
This is an entire experience. We've set the weekend up as a virtual retreat - a little "staycation", if you will. We will guide you through not just the sessions, but also outside of them so you feel confident making what you learn a part of your every day life. We don't want you to just log off and then be on your own to figure the rest out. Let us guide you and make this weekend relaxing, restorative and something you won't soon forget.
We've got two different price tiers for this weekend.
You can attend live for $150 (or break it up into 3 payments), or you can grab the *On-Demand package for $108 (or break it up into 3 payments as well).
*On-demand CE's will be available October 21 until November 14, 2025 and do NOT count as "LIVE" CE's.
We are here to help our Hygiene Fam. We've reduced the cost barrier as much as possible to make this as affordable as we can. We believe that the hygiene world needs these solutions badly, so we're here to deliver.
We intend to hold these more regularly so hygienists have more chances to gather, learn, grow and support each other.
The topics will differ from MeTreat to MeTreat. But we will always bring together top experts and high-value content to make these experiences something that helps upgrade your personal and professional lives.
This is going to be a 3 day event. Show up for all of it or just what you can (or pick up the On-Demand package and make any time "your" time.
Friday we are meeting for a meet-and-greet Happy Hour style get-together. We will cover the weekend's goals and spend some time connecting and sharing. We will close Friday evening with some guided exercises to help release stress from the week and prepare us for a weekend of wellness.
Saturday we will be starting with some morning yoga and intention setting for the weekend, followed by interactive and engaging sessions with our experts. The day will conclude with guidance and insights on how to incorporate what you've learned into your life.
Sunday will begin with a morning yoga class, and then we'll continue with our speaker sessions and guided exercises. We will close out the weekend with more guidance to help you make what you've learned a part of your life.

I have been helping hygienists find their way out of burnout and discover healthy ways to cope with the stress and pressures of being a hygienist. I know there are some urgent problems that need to be addressed in our industry. This is my way of extending a hand and helping as many of my fellow hygienists as I can. Let's do this. Let's lean on each other and learn to stand strong AND feel good.
